I'm Karen.
I've been passionate about Graphic Design for as long as I can remember.
My journey to becoming a Graphic Designer started when I purchased Adobe Photoshop Express, and learned how to use it. I had been thinking about creating my own advertisements, improving my photos/photography, learning to remove objects and change backgrounds, and to create things for my friends and family.
This evolved into learning everything I could online for several years, but I wanted more...
After taking an 'introductory course' for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, I had my interest peaked even more, and then decided to pursue a Graphic Design Diploma, which I achieved through an accelerated online program - with first class honours, and a 99.2% grade point average!
Through freelancing and being a proud member of the Design Teams for: ShowScene magazine, The Doberman Network magazine, The Vintage Beer Shirt Club, the Poodle Network magazine, the Practical Pointer magazine, Ryoko Takayama Photography, and Sylvan Lake Hockey Camp (as well as creating projects for clients, myself, friends and family), I've had the amazing opportunities to advance my skills and knowledge, while expanding my Portfolio.
